Objectives

1. Discuss congenital heart disease in Children, current trends, interventions and follow-up into adulthood. 
 
2. Explain the current research and use of aquapheresis therapy with heart patients.
 
3. Recognize and understand how the transitional care model for cardiac patients reduces costs, improves outcomes, and provides comprehensive discharge planning from hospital to home.
 
4. Identify the risks and benefits of heart disease patients with a Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD).
 
5. Analyze mock code simulation data, clinical implications on practice, and adherence to American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines.
 
6. Critique appropriate interventions for patients with peripheral vascular disease.
 
7. Determine and assess nutritional impact on heart health and wellness.
