Schedule
If you do not have a high school diploma or GED and you are planning on
applying for financial aid, YOU MUST TAKE the Reading, Writing, and Math
assessments in the same testing session. The Testing Center is located in
the South (SO) building, room 1100.
- Photo ID required.
- No children may be left unattended while a student is testing.
ASSET TESTING
We recommend visiting the Study
Guide Zone if you are interested in finding free resources to help you
prepare for testing.
The following 25-minute course placement tests are designed to
identify your skill levels in:
- Writing
- Reading
- Mathematics
Tests are administered on a walk-in basis, and asset booklets are provided
free of charge. Fall and Spring (August - Mid May) hours are Monday - Thursday
from 8:00am to 5:00pm and Friday 8:00am to 3:00pm. Summer (Mid May - July)
hours are Monday - Thursday, from 8:00am to 5:00pm.
ACCUPLACER
This computerized testing is untimed and available on a walk-in basis.
Fall and Spring (August - Mid May) hours are Monday, Wednesday and
Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm. Summer (Mid May - July) hours are Monday
- Thursday from 8:00am to 5:00pm.
CELSA
This test applies to English as a second Language (ESL) students, and is
provided on a walk-in basis. Fall and Spring (Aug - Mid May) hours are held
Monday - Thursday from 8:00am to 6:00pm and Friday from 8:00am to 4:00pm.
Summer (Mid May - July) hours are held Monday - Thursday from 8:00am to
6:00pm.
INSTRUCTOR TESTING
Make-up exams are offered during the Fall and Spring (August - Mid May) on
Monday - Thursday from 8:00am to 5:30pm and Friday from 8:00am - 3:30pm.
Summer (Mid May - July) hours are Monday -
Thursday from 8:00am to 5:30pm.
H.C.C.
This is the Health Care Competency test, with credit given by exam.
Admissions & Records must first verify student eligibility and authorization
before testing can be scheduled. Next, students will:
- Pay the appropriate fee at the Cashier's Office.
- Proceed to the Student Assessment Center for testing & scoring.
Testing is scheduled on a walk-in basis. Fall and Spring (August - Mid May)
hours are Monday - Thursday from 8:00am to 5:00pm and
Friday from 8:00am - 3:00pm. Summer (Mid May - July) hours are Monday -
Thursday from 8:00am to 5:00pm.
HESI PN Exam
This computer-based advanced placement test is timed and applies to block
3 and block 4 students. The cost is $42.00 and tests are offered Monday -
Thursday from 8:00am to 4:00pm and Friday from 8:00am to 2:00pm.
HESI A2 (Entrance Test)
This is a computer-based nurse entrance test allow for 3 1/2 hours. The cost is $35.00, and testing times are Monday - Thursday from 8:15 am to 3:00pm and Friday from 8:00am to 1:00pm.
G. E. D.
The cost of this exam is $75.00. Retests cost $15.00 per test (after 30
days).
- 2 forms of Identification are Required -- One must be state issued
with a photograph; the second must be original and official. (i.e.
Social Security or birth card) (no photo necessary).
- Must complete all 5 sections of the exam within 1 year.
- 16 to 17 year-olds must also submit a notarized letter from a parent
or legal guardian, giving permission to take the exam and an official
withdrawal from the last school attended.
