Phi Theta Kappa

This active student organization provides many opportunities for involvement and leadership through the International Honor Society for 2 Year Colleges. The local Alpha Alpha Epsilon Chapter of PTK is supported by our campus as a significant honor.

Who Can Join?

Members are required to have completed 12 credit hours in college with a minimum G.P.A. of 3.5. Benefits of joining this club include:

  • Having your academic excellence recognized with a designation on your diploma and transcript.
  • Becoming eligible for transfer scholarships (exceeding $36 million), only available to PTK members.
  • Wearing a regalia at graduation that sets you apart as a Phi Theta Kappa member.
  • Gaining an advantage when you apply for future scholarships, educational programs, and employment.

Additionally, PTK is an active student organization providing many opportunities for involvement and leadership.

To join, complete the following steps:

  1. Fill out the Phi  Theta Kappa Membership Application.
  2. Obtain an unofficial copy of your transcript.
  3. Send the application and transcript to Catherine Graham, office # AF106. Upon approval, Catherine will give you a deposit form.
  4. Take the deposit form to the Cashier's Office to pay a 1 time $60 membership fee.
  5. Keep a signed copy of the deposit form for your records. This application process must be completed by February 22.

Please Note: This application process must be completed by the indicated due date.

If your application is accepted, you will be invited to the Induction Ceremony (time TBA). Family and friends are welcome to attend. You will receive your official membership certificate and pin by mail from PTK Headquarters.
