World Explorers Club
This is a fun, educational and diverse club comprised of students from the
U.S. and around the world. The purpose of the World Explorers Club is to
promote, support and understand the diversity of cultures all over the
world, as well as to provide a supportive environment for new and returning
international students.
Who Can Join?
Membership is open to all GateWay students - International and American.
This diverse mix of cultures is a safe and relaxing place to make friends,
become active on campus, get to know your community, and travel to discover
local and nearby historical towns and scenic parts of Arizona.
Activities
The World Explorers Club offers something for everyone.
- On and
off-campus volunteer activities
- Learn and exchange tips about balancing academics, adapting to
college in America, dealing with homesickness, managing nutritional
changes and socializing
- International story sessions
- Group trips to local concerts (free of charge), museums,
international cinema/films and sporting events
- Join our Discover Arizona trips and visit nearby historical towns
- Annual spring trip to the Grand Canyon
- Attend and participate at the Maricopa Community Colleges Governing
Board Meetings
- Opportunity to become a GateWay student leader
