Fall 2011 - Important Dates and Deadlines
January 1, 2011 - FAFSA
First day students may complete a 2011-12 FAFSA for the 2011-12 academic year.
July 1, 2011 - Priority deadline date for Fall 2011
Students must complete their 2011-12 FAFSA and any Financial Aid "To Do" items on the my.maricopa.edu self service site by this date in order to have their application reviewed before the tuition due date. Applications received after this date will still be considered for aid, but the student must make other payment arrangements to secure their classes.
August 20, 2011 - Classes begin
Fall '11 classes begin.
August 31, 2011 - Consortium deadline
Deadline date to submit a consortium agreement for Fall '11.
September 2, 2011 - Fall Pell census date
A student must enroll for all their classes by this deadline date. This also includes enrollment in any classes recognized through the completion of a consortium agreement. If a student registers for additional courses after this date, additional Pell Grant cannot be awarded.
September 8, 2011 - Estimated date for disbursements and refunds
Estimated date fall disbursements will begin and financial aid refunds will be processed. Students will receive an email notification from Citi with details to sign up for the method in which they want to receive their refund.
October 20, 2011
Estimated date first time, first year 30 day delay loan recipients will have their loan disbursed and a refund processed. Students will receive an email notification from Citi with details to sign up for the method in which they want to receive their refund.
December 16, 2011 - Last day of semester
Last day of the Fall '11 semester.
