Electrician Apprenticeship
Overview
Electrical work involves the installation and maintenance of the inside wiring for lighting and
distribution systems in residential, industrial and commercials structures.
Workers generally focus on two areas of this field: construction and
maintenance. Work settings vary, and electricians are often self-employed.
A successful electrician needs proper training, a good sense of balance,
hand-eye coordination, physical fitness and a solid work ethic. Experienced
electricians can become supervisors, project managers or superintendents in
the construction field.
