Millwright Apprenticeship
Overview
Millwrights install large and oversized machinery and equipment for
industrial and production facilities. With the increasing demand for
technology across all industries, millwrights have continually more
sophisticated machines to install and maintain. Many workers specialize in
the installation and maintenance of specific machines or machine brands.
After gaining industry experience, millwrights have the opportunity to
earn higher wages and become supervisors or independent contractors. As
technology continues to improve, many companies will need millwrights to
disassemble old machines and replace them with new ones, leading to high job
