Overview

Philosophy and Religion examine the complexities of human nature, the universe and the meaning of our existence. Courses vary in subject matter. Students study the questions pondered for centuries by historical thinkers, such as:

  • Socrates
  • St. Augustine
  • John Locke
  • David Hume
  • Karl Marx
  • Niccolo Machiavelli

Other areas of study within the social sciences such as anthropology and sociology been established to focus on specific theories in philosophy.

Courses
