Upward Bound

Attendance

The following attendance policies are in place and enforced:

Attendance

• All students must clock in and out on the attendance sheet for all after-school workshops.
• Prompt and regular attendance at all scheduled class meetings is required. If you do not attend school on an Upward Bound day you are not to attend UB or UB events that day.
• Mandatory meetings will be Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.
• In the event of an absence, you will be responsible for leaving a message on the Upward Bound phone line at (602) 286-8201. Leave your first and last name, date of absence, and reason for your absence.
• If you know in advance that you will be absent, you will still be responsible for all information/assignments missed.
• Stipends are paid based on your attendance. Deductions will be made per day.
• Tardiness will not be tolerated. If you are late $7.00 will be deducted from your stipend.
• For Saturday Enrichments: Attendance is required. Once a student has signed up for the enrichment, that student must attend. If he/she signs-up for a Saturday enrichment and does not attend you will be placed on commitment probation; possible release form the Upward Bound program and you will lose your monthly stipend.
