After their most successful season to date and victories over both Scottsdale and Paradise Valley community colleges in Regionals, the Gecko baseball team will take off on their road trip to Oklahoma for the Division II Junior College (JUCO) World Series this Wednesday, May 24.

With a stop in Albuquerque, NM where the team will practice Thursday morning, the bus full of Gecko baseball players, coaches and athletic staff will arrive in Enid, Okla. on Friday. Opening ceremonies commence that night with a flag presentation, bald eagle fly over, home run derby and fireworks.

The Geckos' first game is Saturday, May 28 against Madison College (Wisconsin) at 9 AM CDT. The rest of the schedule will be determined by the outcome of the games; however, the Geckos are guaranteed at least two games.

Games will be tweeted live from the GateWay Geckos Twitter account and game recaps will be posted on the GateWay CC Athletics Facebook page. Be sure to listen to the live audio and statistics provided by www.davidallenballpark.com to get the most up-to-date information on the team's success.
