In Saturday’s action at the Grand Canyon University Invitational, GateWay runners saw a slew of personal bests.  Carrie Weldy finished second overall amongst community college runners, besting her previous 5K time on the way to running 20:00 for the 3.2 mile course. She was not alone, however. Boone Ebel rocked the community college arena with a new best of 26:41, finishing 4th. Daniel Blech said “out with the old, in with the new,” running 28:31--a 1:21 improvement over his previous best at Scottsdale. Travis Farland had a landslide improvement of 26 seconds on his way to a 29:36 and Charles Hursh nailed a 32:02, a 32 second chunk off his old PR.

GateWay heads to the Mt. Sac Invite for some fierce competition on Friday.
