Hybrid Course CIS107 Introduces Students to the
Electronic Gaming Industry
For all of you gamers out there, CIS 107 provides an in-depth introduction to the electronic game industry, including history, market, distribution and publishing channels, business models, team roles, and the career landscape. Technical topics covered include software engineering, artificial intelligence, game physics, computer graphics, and networking.
In addition to the topics listed, each student will develop a video game during the course using a development program provided in the classroom. Demonstrating the game to classmates and the instructor will be the final exam.
"This course is a lot of fun and gives a great introduction to the game development process," said Dr. Steve Clayden.
To register for the class, log on to the Class Schedule or call (602) 286-8600. Prerequisites: CIS105 or permission of Instructor. |
