What is the National Day of Silence?

The National Day of Silence is a day of action in which students across the country vow to take a form of silence to call attention to the effect of anti-LGBT bullying and harassment in schools.  Read more about the National Day of Silence.

List of Events Planned at GateWay
April 15-18, 2013

April 15

Information Table in Amphitheater, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Free food. Take a break, play Twister and learn about the Gay-Straight Alliance student club.

April 16

Open Mic (in collaboration with Out of Ink) in the Amphitheater, 12-2 p.m.

April 17

"Bully" Documentary in Copper Room, 1-2:40 p.m.

April 18

Day of Silence in the Amphitheater, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Enjoy food and karaoke from 12-2 p.m., following the 2 hour vow of silence.
