GateWay Community College is committed to providing an equitable learning experience. In the event an issue arises that needs our attention, we look forward to the opportunity to provide an equitable solution for all parties involved as outlined in the Maricopa Community College District student policies and procedures. Should additional resources be needed, students may also contact the regulatory agency in their state as well as GateWay's accreditation body, the Higher Learning Commission.
Instructional Student Complaint Resolution Process
Any student who feels he or she has been treated unfairly by a faculty member with regard to an academic process such as grading, testing or assignments has the right to file a formal and written complaint in accordance with approved procedures as outlined in the Instructional Grievance Process Policy Manual and GateWay Community College Catalog & Student Handbook.
Non-Instructional Student Complaint Resolution Process
Any student who feels he or she has been treated unfairly by any employee with regard to a non-instructional process such as student or administrative services has the right to file a formal and written complaint in accordance with approved procedures as outlined in the Non-Instructional Resolution Process Policy Manual and GateWay Community College Catalog & Student Handbook. False Statements Prohibited
Any individual who knowingly provides false information will be subject to appropriate disciplinary action, up to and including, employment termination or academic dismissal.

Higher Learning Commission
Student concerns regarding compliance with the Commission’s Criteria for Accreditation and not a specific student complaint regarding tuition, class grades, reinstatement, etc., may be addressed with the Higher Learning Commission.
