Nicolle Hightower, an alumna of Gateway Community College ’97, has worked in the field of radiology as a general staff technologist for over 10 years. She specializes in areas such as Clinical Instructor, surgical technologist, and also Interventional Radiology. In 2007, she became full time faculty at GWCC after having taught as an adjunct instructor in courses such as Radiographic Positioning and Image Evaluation. In addition to her education at GWCC, she also completed both her Bachelor’s in Applied Science in Diagnostic Medical Imaging and Therapy, a Master’s in Educational Leadership at NAU, and her Vascular Intervention credential through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Currently, her title is the Director for Clinical Education, Radiology Technology Program.
Hightower has a passion for teaching radiology students and maintaining close community connections with those in the healthcare field. Between her current role and her other full time faculty obligations, she is an active participant in community education and clinical relationships as well as a mentor to her students; this, a role that she remains very proud of.
