Property Maintenace and Management

This program is designed to prepare and train students in areas of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC/R) systems, electricity, plumbing, appliance, and interior and exterior general repair. You will learn how to use your knowledge to assess and solve problems quickly. We’ll also teach you the necessary skills pertaining to communication, performance, organization, and team collaboration.

Students at any Maricopa Community College may need to complete courses at more than one of our colleges.
|Maintenance Technician: Apartments|
GateWay Community College is the only Maricopa community college that offers this program. It is considered a clock hour program, which is a non-credit training program that provide skills for quick entry into the workforce. It has specific year-round start dates, and you attend classes up to four days a week, Monday-Thursday.

Program Cost Estimate*
Certificate of Competency in Maintenance Technician, Apartments: $1,625 | 300 hours/6 months
*This program meets for three months, two days a week, 4-hours a days, for a total of 8 hours for classroom training, then three months of internship at an apartment complex for on the job training. Actual completion times may vary. Costs include tuition and lab fees. Amount based on current estimates and will vary. A separate $15 Registration Fee will be charged per academic year.
