With the university transfer option, you can complete most of your general education coursework at the Maricopa Community Colleges and have guaranteed acceptance to one of our over 40 university and college partners to complete your Bachelor degree.

There are other Associate of Applied Science degrees that have been designed to provide seamless transfer into a bachelor program, but acceptance is not guaranteed. For more information, see the Get an Associate Degree option below.

The Associate degrees in this list gives you the opportunity for an in-depth study of your chosen field. If you decide to move on to a four-year degree after graduation, you will need to work with an advisor to confirm which classes will transfer, and acceptance is not guaranteed. Subject matter options are listed.

GateWay also offers courses in Anatomy and PhysiologyMathematics, Natural Sciences, Nutrition, and Pre-Engineering and Pre-Vet tracks in support of the degrees below.

A Certificate prepares you for entry-level work in your chosen field and requires fewer classes than the Associate degree or university transfer options. There are several types of certificates available, including career, trade, and academic certificates.

Credits earned in a certificate program can often be used toward an Associate degree. For more information, speak with an advisor.

If you simply want to take a class to learn a new skill or hone your current abilities, this option is for you.
