Ultrasound

Non-diagnostic Medical Ultrasound is imaging of most soft tissue structures in the body. It is widely accessible and less expensive than other methods. Diagnostic medical sonographers use specialized equipment to generate images used for assessing and diagnosing various medical conditions.

Many people associate sonography, which utilizes sound waves, with pregnancy. It’s how a fetus can be seen in the womb. But this technology has many other applications in the diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions in the abdomen, breast, major blood vessels and, more recently, in diagnosing and treating musculoskeletal problems.

Types of Ultrasound Available :

Prenatal, Thyroid, Breast, Knee, Ankle, Carotid, Pelvic, Kidney, Gallbladder, Liver, Shoulder, Arterial Duplex, Venous Doppler, Abdominal Aorta, Ovaries, Pancreas, and Bladder.

Imaging will be performed by students under supervision of a licensed professional. Patient’s will be provided with a report they may take home with them or to provide for interpretation by their referring physician. To schedule an appointment at the HUC Clinic, please call (602) 286–8511 or book directly online at:
