The GateWay Early College High School (GWECHS) provides students with an opportunity to complete a high school diploma and an associate degree, concurrently, within five or fewer years.

The GateWay Early College High School (GWECHS) provides students with an opportunity to pursue a high school diploma and an Associates Degree within five or fewer years. Located at GateWay Community College, GateWay Early College High School inspires and empowers students to succeed in learning and in life through:

  • Small classes
  • Supportive relationships at every level
  • Teachers and staff dedicated to student success
  • Certified AVID school

Attending GateWay Early College High School (serving students grades 9–12) is free of charge for high school credit. We do not require any citizenship or immigration status information or documentation to enroll students in the high school. Students are not required to take college courses.

Additional Information

GateWay Early College High School has in person and online resources to assist parents or community members. For translation in Spanish, speak with the Parent Liaison at (602) 286-8794, who will provide information and arrange any additional translation services required. The process for requesting translation services is as follows: Calls that come into the general office number are answered by front office staff and if translation services are need they are transferred to the Spanish language point of contact. Calls made to the designated Spanish language phone number will be assisted by the Spanish language point of contact. At that time any need for translation services can be requested by the caller. The Spanish language point of contact will make any necessary arrangement to ensure that the callers needs are met. For individuals who come into the administrative offices, translation services will be made available immediately for Spanish speaking parents and by appointment for other languages.

Notice of Public Meetings: Pursuant to A.R.S. §38-431.02, GateWay Early College High School hereby states that all notices of the meetings of GateWay Early College High School will be posted at 108 N. 40th Street, in the Main (MA) Building at MA2350 and on the following website: https://administration.maricopa.edu/governing-board/notice-of-public-meeting

The location is open to the public Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Such notices will indicate the date, time and place of the meeting, and will include an agenda or information concerning the manner in which the public may obtain an agenda for the meeting. In accordance with A.R.S. §15-903(E), as amended by Laws 2018, Ch. 285, §10, a local educational agency's (LEA) budget must include the prominent display of the average salary of all teachers employed by the district or charter for the budget and prior years, and the increase in the average salary of all teachers employed by the district or charter for the budget year reported in dollars and percentage.
