Clinical Research Associate | Research Monitor
The Clinical Research Associate (CRA) program is now accelerated and can be completed in just one semester. This is a 16 credit hour, online program that is eligible for Federal Student Aid.
The responsibilities of a CRA may include:
- Working directly with pharmaceutical, device, or contract research organizations to ensure research is being performed in compliance with the study protocols, Good Clinical Practices, and regulatory standards.
- Traveling extensively within local and regional areas to review research documentation.
- Communicating effectively with site researchers and staff.
- Managing research projects.
CRAs often have experience working in healthcare or clinical research fields with two or more years of experience. In some cases, individuals with other degrees and backgrounds may participate, with the approval of the program director.

Why should you choose an accredited school?
Although many schools offer seemingly similar degree and certification options, not all schools are accredited. In many instances, accreditation of the degree or program you complete may be required in order to become certified to work in the field.
