At GateWay Community College Community, we offer a variety of different community education opportunities. You will find short-term, affordable workshops and sessions in arts and crafts, beauty and wellness, fitness and dance, money matters and personal enrichment.

We also offer a fully functional art studio, art gallery, continued education programs for working professionals and youth summer camps.

How to Get Started

Pay Online

Visit our workshops page and click the "Register" link for your desired date and location of the class. 

Select quantity and add to cart. Enter "Ticket Holder" and "Billing Information". Select box to accept notice and click "Confirm Order". You will receive a confirmation email and receipt.

Once you have selected your desired workshop(s), you may pay in person with cash or check at least 48 hours before the start of the workshop at any of the two GateWay Community College campus locations:

Washington Campus

Central City Campus

Refund Policy

Once you have paid for a workshop, no refunds will be issued. Registrants may not transfer their workshop enrollment and only registrants on the roster will be admitted to workshops.

If a workshop is canceled, you will be notified and entitled to a refund, minus processing fees.

Frequently Asked Questions

It is a collection of workshops designed to be fun, interesting and enriching. Community Education is open to anyone in the community; you do not need to be a student at GateWay Community College or any other community college to participate.

All of the Community Education workshops are noncredit and will not show up on a transcript.

There are no assignments or grades.

 Please see the payment information above and choose to pay either in person or online.

Yes! The workshop must be registered in the name of the intended participant (with their contact information, etc.) but the workshop may be purchased with your credit or debit card online. You may also pay in person for another’s registration using the pay in person guidelines above.

Community Education workshops are for adults 18+ years of age, unless otherwise noted. Select workshops are designated for students, ages 16+, as long as an adult parent or guardian also register for and attend the workshops. Only minors who have registered for Community Education workshops that permit those 16+ with an accompanying adult parent or guardian may be present at GateWay Community College Community Education workshops. Absolutely no unregistered minors may participate in GateWay Community College Community Education workshops.

Supplies are provided and included in the price for each workshop. If there are recommended apparel or other suggestions, they will be indicated in the workshop descriptions.
