Welcome to the GateWay Learning Center! We offer FREE academic tutoring and a variety of learning support to enrolled students. The Learning Center is located on the second floor of the IE building in IE2108.

In addition to tutoring, we have a computer lab, study rooms, open study space, and free printing! We also have laptops, textbooks, calculators, biology models, microscopes, and other resources that can be used in our space.

The Learning Center is accepting applications for part-time front desk staff and part-time tutors in the following areas: A&P, ACC, BIO, CHM, CIS, DMI, DMS, ENG, MAT, NUR, PHY, PSY, PTA, RES, Writing. Interested? Please fill out and submit this application today.

The Learning Center is offering one-hour reservations for groups of two to four radiologic technology students to use the VR suite. Learn more here.

The Learning Center has FREE study materials for the HESI A2 exam available through a Canvas course.

You can self-enroll in the Canvas course, select any module you want to work on, and repeat it as many times as you want! You can move through the modules sequentially or choose the sections and topics that are more beneficial to you. This Canvas course has materials for the Grammar, Reading, Vocabulary, and Math sections of the HESI A2 exam.

Power Math Camp Canvas Course is a free and easy way to review your essential math skills. You can practice at your own convenience. Any time. Any place. Any device. This can help as you move between math courses or as you prepare for the math placement test, though it won’t replace a math course.

Power Math Camp covers a wide variety of topics. You can move through the topics sequentially as they are listed or choose the topics that are more beneficial to you. The topics are grouped in three different levels. Each topic has a video tutorial along with practice problems (answers are included). If you have any questions, you can message instructors within the course. The will respond as soon as possible.

Basics: Ideal for students entering MAT115 or MAT142/145. Topics Covered: Fractions, decimals, percentages, ratios and proportions, measurement, basic geometry, basic statistics, basic solving.

Level I: Ideal for students entering MAT115 or MAT122. Topics Covered: Solving and graphing with linear equations and systems of linear equations, operations with polynomials.

Level II: Ideal for students entering MAT150 or higher. Topics Covered: Solving and graphing with quadratic equations, rational equations, radical equations, exponential equations, and logarithmic equations.
