This 300-hour program prepares students for a career in cardiac monitoring and telemetry as an ECG technician or ECG technologist. You will be introduced to keyboarding, electronic patient records and record keeping, patient assessment, basic medical terminology, anatomy and physiology of the cardiovascular system, the cardiac conduction system, and 12-lead ECG acquisition and rhythm interpretation, as well as holter monitoring, telemetry monitoring, stress testing, and artificial pacemaker evaluations. You’ll be able to acquire your BLS and ACLS certification during the program and be fully prepared to take the National Certified ECG Technician (CET) examination.

Fast Track Certificate, which can be completed in two semesters or less.

This training program is considered a clock hour program, which is a training program that provides skills for quick entry into the workforce. The clock hour programs have specific year-round start dates, and you attend classes four days a week, typically Monday-Thursday.

Certificate of Competency in ECG Technician  | 325 hr / 4 mo | $2,092

*Months based on 20 hours a week/4 weeks a month. Actual completion times may vary. Costs include tuition, lab and estimated book fees. Amount based on current estimates and will vary. This program is not financial aid eligible. The ECG Technician program tuition and fees includes CPR and ACLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA), and the Certified ECG Technician (CET) exam by National Healthcareer Association (NHA). A separate $15 Registration Fee will be charged per academic year.
