The GateWay Community College Car Show hosted by the Center for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion aims to educate GateWay and Phoenix communities about the historical, social and cultural influences of automotive repair and customization culture in Phoenix and the Southwest region.
Student and community participants will have the opportunity to learn about Hispanic/Latine influences on car culture through a temporary panel exhibit; explore Chicano-influenced art through interactive art activities; access preventative health services and information hosted by campus and community partner organizations; and enjoy a showcase of community and alumni/employee custom cars.
