GateWay Community College is pleased to announce the appointment of Jake Hinton-Rivera as the new Dean of Enrollment Management, effective Aug. 25.
Hinton-Rivera has more than 14 years experience supervising, managing and leading staff. He comes to GateWay from Northland Pioneer College in Holbrook, Ariz., where he was the dean of students and director of Enrollment Services.
As Dean of Enrollment Management at GateWay, Hinton-Rivera will oversee the offices, departments and services relating to advising, admissions/records, career services, enrollment and financial aid services, international education, testing and veteran services.
Hinton-Rivera’s professional experience includes registrar at Rock Valley College in Rockford, Ill., financial aid director at High-Tech Institute in St. Louis Park, Minn., and state service grants and compliance coordinator for Georgia Student Finance Commission in Tucker, Ga.
He has a master's degree from Fort Hays State University with a focus in Public Administration.
