Paradise Valley Community College and Gateway Community College Baseball Programs will be conducting an open tryout together on Thursday, June 9, 2016. There is a $10.00 charge to attend this tryout. Each player must provide their own workout clothes, baseball spikes, and glove. GWCC Baseball will provide Baum bats, baseballs, and other needed equipment for use during the tryout.
Pitchers and Catchers Sign ups 8:00 a.m.
Tryouts Start 8:45 a.m.
Infielders and Outfielders Sign- ups 11:30 a.m.
Tryouts Start 12:00 p.m.
Please inform any of your graduating seniors who you feel have been overlooked and you feel can play college level baseball. To be eligible for the baseball try- outs, please have the student/ athlete contact me so that I can place their name on the tryout list, however, walk- ups will be allowed.
Each participant will need to complete the following forms:
1. Assumption of Risk Form
2. Contact Information Form
3. Bring a copy of their current physical form stating that they are cleared to play baseball.
If the student/athlete is under 18 years of age, a parent must also sign the Assumption of Risk Form. The two forms will be available the day of the tryout and can be picked up in advance at either school’s baseball office, or they can be downloaded from PVCC Baseball website. The forms must be on hand and signed to be eligible to participate.
