Creativity and glamour lit up the Gateway Community College Deer Valley campus as fifteen adult Cosmetology students from the Beauty & Wellness program competed in the exciting Movie Night HairExtravaganza.
This spirited event challenged participants to showcase the skills they have developed during their studies, transforming their models using the full range of techniques learned in nails, skin, hair, and fashion. Judged by a lively peer review panel made up of family, friends, and fellow students, the contest celebrated artistic innovation and technical mastery.
Contestants were evaluated on their ability to creatively reimagine their models' looks, putting their hard-earned skills to the test. With fierce competition and stunning transformations, two standout stylists earned top honors for their journey of growth and creativity in the beauty industry. First place was awarded to Thrish Farrell for her Avatar look, and second place went to Santi Keioko for Edward Scissorhands.
