Paradise Valley Community College and GateWay Community College baseball teams will host open tryouts for future and current students interested in joining baseball for the next season.
Tryouts will be at Gene Autry Park on Tuesday, May 28. Registration will start at 8 a.m. and tryouts will start at 9 a.m. There is a $10 registration fee to tryout.
Players must bring their own workout clothes, baseball spikes and glove. PVCC and GWCC will accommodate baseballs, Baum bats and other equipment needed for the tryouts.

Each player will need to complete an Assumption of Risk Form and Release of Liability and a Contact Information Form. Student-athletes under age 18, must have a parent or guardian also sign these forms. The forms must be signed and on hand to be eligible to tryout.
A copy of a valid physical dated within the last year is needed. Physicals dated prior to May 18, 2012 cannot be accepted. The physicals must include doctor’s signature and clearance to join athletics. Athletic trainers will be there to assess participants. Only participants with all the correct paperwork will be allowed to participate in the tryouts.
