Maricopa County Community College District (MCCCD) has opened registration for seven bachelor’s degree programs, which includes GateWay Community College's Bachelor's of Applied Science in Nuclear Medicine Technology and Computed Tomography.

“These baccalaureate degrees represent a historic new chapter for our System and the residents of Greater Phoenix,” said MCCCD Chancellor Dr. Steven R. Gonzales. “By investing and broadening our educational offerings to include baccalaureate degrees, we now provide students with additional opportunities to learn and grow in their chosen paths. We are excited to enroll and welcome our inaugural group of students into these seven diverse programs.”

MCCCD and GateWay are proud to offer this new accredited bachelor’s degree program in a high-demand field. As Arizona’s top provider of workforce development, MCCCD continues to provide proactive solutions that address the state’s labor shortage that extends across diverse industries.

MCCCD baccalaureate degrees are:

  • Affordable - less than a third of university tuition
  • Convenient - courses offered at colleges throughout the Valley
  • Flexible - meeting busy schedules; in-person, evening, and online options
  • Personalized - supported by faculty and staff in a small class-size setting.

"The MCCCD community is thrilled to continue offering groundbreaking opportunities for our students as they continue their educational experience," said MCCCD Governing Board President Marie Sullivan. "These baccalaureate degrees are a direct result of a collaborative effort by MCCCD to make this possibility a reality in Maricopa County and MCCCD continues to serve as a foundational model for community colleges around the country to replicate."
