PHOENIX, AZ – GateWay Community College is excited to announce the launch of a new Professional Dog Grooming Program, developed in partnership with Groom Curriculum, a leader in grooming education. This hands-on, career-focused program is designed for Phoenix-area individuals seeking to enter the high-demand field of pet grooming.
The curriculum offers comprehensive training in:
- Safe and humane animal handling
- Canine anatomy and breed identification
- Grooming equipment usage and sanitation protocols
- Techniques for grooming puppies, senior dogs, and dogs of various coat types
- Real-world experience in professional grooming environments
- Preparation for an industry-recognized credential
Students will also receive a professional student grooming kit valued at $1,000, along with a textbook, included in the total program cost of $4,500.
