What is Gecko Gear Up?

Gecko Gear Up is GateWay's new student orientation, advising, and registration event to prepare you for college success. Through an interactive session, you will:

Meet fellow students, staff, and faculty

Learn about campus resources and support services

Receive an intro to navigating your online Student Center

Explore first-year requirements and strategies for success

Get help with Fields of Interest, registration, and advising

Who Should Attend?

This orientation is for all new students, especially those pursuing credit-based programs like associate degrees or certificates.

How to Participate

RSVP—Sign up for a session.
Prepare—Submit your transcripts to GateWay or take the College Placement test. Watch the Maricopa Pipeline video and take the Interest Assessment to explore potential educational and career pathways.
Attend—Join us in person at the Washington St. campus for a welcoming and informative session.
