Want to earn your BSN in a way that can save you time and money?
The Concurrent Enrollment Associate-Baccalaureate Nursing Programs is offered at GateWay Community College through the Maricopa Community College District MaricopaNursing program.
The program is designed for qualified nursing students who are interested in earning their Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree while pursuing their Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Nursing degree.
What this means to you is you are able graduate with your AAS and BSN at the same time.
The Concurrent Enrollment Program (CEP) allow students to pursue an AAS degree in nursing via the current MaricopaNursing program while providing an affordable, concurrent course of study that enables students to complete their BSN degree in approximately one semester after graduating with their AAS degree.
A limited number of participants are selected from the pool of MaricopaNursing students who have met all Associate-Baccalaureate CEP identified eligibility requirements.
In addition, students with a previous bachelor’s degree may also earn their Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree through Grand Canyon University while pursuing their Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Nursing degree.
All applicants are required to register for and attend a CEP information session prior to applying to a CEP. If the student does not attend an information session and his/her name does not appear on a CEP information session roster, the student will not be eligible to submit an application for a CEP.
MaricopaNursing Concurrent Enrollment Program Model
Step 01 - Student wants to pursue the Concurrent Enrollment Program (CEP).
Step 02 - Student is referred to advisement about course requirements for MaricopaNursing and the universities.
Step 03 - Student applies to MaricopaNursing.
Step 04 - Student signs up for a CEP Information Session*.
*All applicants are required to register for and attend a CEP information session prior to applying to a CEP. If the student does not attend an information session and his/her name does not appear on a CEP information session roster, the student will not be eligible to submit an application for a CEP.
Step 05 - Student signs up for Application Session to submit application for CEP.
Step 06 - Acceptance Committee determines if student is accepted or denied.
Step 07 - Selected student is notified via email and letter if they are accepted and must respond by time frame if selected.
Step 08 - Selected student must apply to the university. Instructions will be given at time of acceptance.
Step 09 - Selected students must enroll for university courses.
Step 10 - Selected student begins MaricopaNursing Block 1 CEP Course of Study
Step 11 - Selected student graduates with an AAS in Nursing with Maricopa and takes NCLEX
Step 12 - Selected student completes last semester with CEP University BSN degree.
