Join us for a celebration to honor the veteran community at GateWay!
Flag Raising Ceremony | Opening Remarks | 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 a.m.
South Pointe High School's JROTC will raise the United States flag prior to the Operation 22 Run/Walk. Opening remarks will also be made by GateWay's Vice President of Student Affairs, Dr. Delfi Wilson.
Operation 22 | 2.2 Mile Run/Walk Honoring Veterans | 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
Did you know every day 22+ Veterans and 1 Active Duty Soldier take their own lives? To commemorate these service members for their sacrifice and service to their country and to remember them, and all service members, join in on a 2.2 mile walk/run to bring awareness about Suicide Prevention. Participants will receive commemorative dog tags and a t-shirt. A water station will be provided. Please coordinate coverage in your area with your supervisor.
