Candis Welch - Advocating for People with Disabilities
Candis Welch will speak on working with individuals with disabilities, how disability interacts with other systems and identities, and how attendees can take a more active role in supporting and advocating for people with disabilities in their careers and personal lives. Candis will share her own story of living with Spinal Muscular Atrophy as a Black woman, and how she has grown to be an activist, non-profit owner/educator, and disability advisor within Los Angeles and the greater state of California.
