On October 31, GateWay Community College had the honor of hosting international delegates participating in the Advancing U.S.–Philippine Relations for American Semiconductor Supply Chains project.
The visit, part of a weeklong professional exchange running from October 29 to November 1, focused on deepening understanding of U.S. semiconductor policies, investment incentives, and the frameworks that foster innovation and growth across the industry. Delegates explored how effective public-private partnerships and education-industry collaborations contribute to a resilient and competitive semiconductor ecosystem.
During the visit, Dr. Amy Diaz, College President, and Danny Fisher, Dean of Manufacturing, Technology, and Trades, presented on GateWay’s industry-aligned programming and its leading role in semiconductor workforce development through the Future48 Semiconductor Workforce Accelerator. Their presentations highlighted how GateWay’s programs are designed to meet the growing demand for skilled technicians through cutting-edge training, strong employer partnerships, and a focus on equitable access to high-demand career pathways.
GateWay Community College remains committed to developing the talent essential to sustaining a robust U.S. semiconductor supply chain.
