Join GateWay’s Veterans Day Run! Because the college is closed on Tuesday, GateWay Community College is hosting a Veterans Day Run on Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2025, at 7:00 a.m. to honor veterans and raise awareness about veteran suicide.

At GateWay Community College, we believe that student success starts with genuine care. Every student deserves access to essential resources such as food, housing, and transportation, along with a supportive community. This enables them to focus on what truly matters: their goals, growth, and future.

Creativity and glamour lit up the Gateway Community College Deer Valley campus as fifteen adult Cosmetology students from the Beauty & Wellness program competed in the exciting Movie Night HairExtravaganza.

Last week, I had the privilege of representing GateWay Community College at SemiCon West in Phoenix, participating in a panel titled “Arizona: Supplying the Next Generation of Talent.” The event brought together education, industry, and government leaders from across the semiconductor ecosystem to discuss how Arizona is leading the nation in building a sustainable, highly skilled workforce for this rapidly expanding industry.

September 15 to October 15 is National Hispanic Heritage Month, a celebration of contributions made to the history and culture of the United States. At GateWay, the Student Life and Leadership Team has organized a variety of activities, from food tastings to art showings, for students to attend throughout the month. Plan to join the festivities!

When you take dual enrollment classes, you’ll be earning high school and college credits at the same time. GateWay Community College partners with local high schools to offer dual enrollment credit for both academic and occupational classes. The courses are taught on high school campuses by college-approved high school teachers and can be counted toward high school graduation requirements.

GateWay Community College has been named Honorable Mention for the 2025 Most Promising Places to Work in Community Colleges by the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD) and Diverse: Issues In Higher Education. GateWay has received the NISOD recognition and/or honorable mention five times in the past eight years, and is thankful to be among the list of notable community colleges across the country.

GateWay Community College is enrolling now for its 8-week Facilities Management training program, beginning on January 16, 2025.
