Fereshtah Flores

Fereshtah Flores started her studies at the University of New Mexico, right after high school.  However, she realized that due to an unexpected turn of events in her family that caused some financial concerns as well as other obligations, returning to Arizona was in her best interest. She did not choose GateWay for any particular reason, but says she stayed because of the people and her experiences here. As a first-generation college graduate, she has earned her Associate in Science. She plans to attend the Fulton School of Engineering at ASU to study civil engineering.

GateWay Community College is graduating more than 1,300 students enrolled in trade and technical training, professional and technical education, and university transfer programs on May 9.
