Top 50 Community Colleges in the Nation for Graduate Earnings

GateWay Community College was ranked as one of the top 50 community colleges in the nation for graduate earnings, according to a recent study done by PayScale.com in 2020 of community college alumni nationally. When compared to other public community college options, GateWay ranked #35 on the list, with a median salary of $72,100 and early career pay starting at $50,500 for select careers. 

“With student debt reaching all-time highs, we are proud that we are able to offer diverse workforce education and training options that net our graduates careers that pay well,” said Amy Diaz, interim president and vice president of Academic Affairs at the college. “This ranking is evidence that GateWay continues to play a key role in our communities and economic impact to the state.”

As the first technical college in Arizona, GateWay offers a variety of trade and technical programs and over 160 degree and certificate options. It now boasts five locations and has become a leading institution in meeting the needs of business and industry throughout our region.

“Our students are workforce ready upon graduation,” said Diaz. “Whether they enter the healthcare field, a trade or technical career, or transfer to a university, our graduates have the foundation they need to make an immediate impact.”

According to a recent study by LendEDU, Arizona four-year university students graduate with an average student debt of $23,913 per borrower making affordable education options in the state critically important.  With tuition starting at just $85 per credit hour for in-state residents, GateWay offers its students an education and career path at a much more affordable rate.
